City of Rushford Village

The City of Rushford Village could be known as “the city surrounding a city” because the “village” surrounds the cities of Rushford and Peterson, making this an unusual place. Perhaps a better way f describing Rushford Village, however, is the city within a forest, because it is surrounding by the Richard J. Dorer Memorial Hardwood Forest. Hikers, bicyclists, and other nature lovers can travel the trails through this forest and witness abundant wildlife while experiencing breathtaking views of the limestone bluffs in this area. This forest has been named one of the best places in Minnesota for mountain biking, horseback riding, bird watching, and fall-color touring.
