MABEL
- is snuggled in the southeast corner of Fillmore
County and was named in 1879. The annual celebration, Steam
Engine Days, is held in the park the first weekend after Labor
Day. It features threshing machines powered by steam engines, two
gigantic parades, arts, crafts, antiques, and many other exciting
activities. Mabel is the home of the Mabel House Hotel, built in
1879. Visit the Steam Engine Museum or the nine hole golf course.
Watch for Amish buggies traveling in town.
